Hello again, and welcome to another Hookah Heroes blog post! In the past two or so years, we've seen the emergence of a new brand to the market, one that has quickly dominated Enthusiast pages everywhere. That brand is Trifecta Tobacco - one of my personal favorite brands on the market, and one that's adored by enthusiasts everywhere. Trifecta is a very unique brand, as it has the brand with probably the most range of flavor options on the market. I believe this is because the owner himself is an enthusiast, and he truly caters his flavors to what an enthusiast would want, and he does a fantastic job at it at that.
With their wide variety of flavors, how does one choose which flavors to try? Not to worry, I've taken the liberty of comprising a list of my top ten favorite Trifecta flavors, including both the Dark Blend as well as the Blonde Line. The majority of what I smoke at this point is Trifecta, so I feel that I can make an astute list for you all. That said, this list is going to be my personal preference, and it's not by any means a perfect guide. Let's jump into it!
While it may have only scored tenth on my list, I still consider that a big deal. Trifecta's Pineapple flavor, from their Dark Blend line, is a very unique flavor in and of itself, in that it's the only pineapple flavor that I've tried to date that doesn't smoke warm, or doesn't have a mint in it to balance out the warmth from the flavor. It's just a bright and juicy pineapple flavor, and it's done exceptionally well. It sits on a fine line between candied and natural, where I don't find it to be too sweet by any means, but nor is it too sour. It finds a perfect harmony, and it's a fabulous flavor.
9. True Grape
True Grape blew me away when I first tried it. While most grape flavors usually taste like Ketchup, True Grape holds true to its name - a pure and simple white grape flavor. It's easily my favorite grape flavor on the market, and it's done exceedingly well. It also finds that perfect balance between natural and candied, and it was something that I found myself smoking on a daily basis... until I ran out. That was a sad day.
8. Pineapple Guava
Pineapple Guava... Oh man. Pineapple Guava is a contender for top flavor of all time for me, and for good reason. While it has those robust and sweet pineapple notes, they're complemented by the earthy guava tones, and it comes all together for a perfect harmony of flavor. I don't find it overbearing in any way, as the two flavors just mesh perfectly well, like PB+J, Salt and Pepper, or Hookah and Gaming.
7. Moro Zest
Moro Zest is a very unique flavor - it's a blood orange rind flavor. Not the pulp, but the rind. It has a very bitter texture to it, and it almost dries your mouth out. It's definitely a flavor that should be smoked on foil, but I'll be damned if it isn't amazing. There aren't enough bitter flavors on the market, and Trifecta really hit the nail on the head with this one.
Don't even get me started on Pearfect. I was lucky enough to experience the pure bliss that is Pearfect Blonde Line last Spring, and it took me to unimaginable serenity. Then, a few months later, I was fortunately able to purchase a kilo of Dark Blend Pearfect. While both are absolutely stellar, the Dark Blends added an entire new level of depth to the flavor. The dark tobacco notes meshed superbly with the sweet pear flavor, and made for a symphony of delicious in your mouth. Needless to say, that kilo didn't last long.
Back when I first started smoking, Al Fakher Grapefruit Mint was my go to flavor for a month or two straight. Then, in fall of 2015, I tried TNT, from the blonde line of Trifecta. "Yes". That's the only thing I could say. TNT takes a classic grapefruit flavor, and adds a new twist on it - mango, and mint. The tart aspect of the grapefruit is meshed well with the sweet undertones of the mango, and it's rounded out perfectly with a touch of cooling mint flavor. If you're a die hard grapefruit smoker, this is a must have.
Growing up as a kid, basil grew like weeds where I lived. I would often times just eat it straight off of the plant, as I truly enjoyed the flavor. Never did I ever expect to find myself smoking it, fifteen years later. Enigma is probably one of the most unique flavors on the market currently. It's a sweet berry blend, with a nice basil undertone. The basil is very mild, but it adds a very unique aspect to the flavor that only Trifecta can achieve.
3. Morning Glory
I've never been a huge coffee fan, but Morning Glory (or All Day Glory, as some know it) sought to change that. I was very wary of trying it, but I was pleasantly surprised with the result. It's a rich coffee flavor that almost has a candied aspect to it, and yet it never comes across as overbearing in any way. There's almost a chocolate aspect to it, but not quite. Coffee fan or not, this flavor definitely goes in my list of "Must Try Trifecta Flavors."
2. Lavender Mint
Lavender Mint, aka my latest weakness, is a stupendous and yet again, unique flavor coming from the Dark Blend line of Trifecta's lineup. It's a bright floral flavor that's met with a chilling and potent mint. The flavors mix flawlessly, and they never find themselves overpowering one another. Rather, they just complement each other. While I do enjoy floral flavors, I've never found one that I can say I enjoy this much.
1. Twice the Ice Extreme
Twice the Ice Extreme, or TTIX, is without a doubt my personal favorite Trifecta flavor. Coming from the Blonde Line, it's easily the coldest mint on the market. It's a bitter and chilling peppermint flavor, and when I say cold, I mean cold. Many find it to be unsmokeable for the first twenty minutes, though if you're a real mint masochist like myself, you love every minute of it. It's a flavor that's perfect for mixing as well, as you only need a tiny pinch of it to any bowl to give a perfect cooling sensation to any flavor that you're smoking. It's without a doubt my favorite Trifecta flavor, as well as one of my favorite flavors of all time.
What do you think? Do you guys agree with my list? Are there any Trifecta flavors that you think deserved to be on this list? Do you think I'm wrong? Let me know! I love hearing your feedback, and I'd love to hear some new recommendations to try out! As always guys, thanks so much for reading, and happy smokes!
