Hello again, and welcome to another Hookah Heroes blog post! This week, we've been lucky enough to have the B2 Hookahs and the B2 Reapers grace our shelves, so I thought it would be an apt time to talk about why the B2 Hookah is one of my favorite hookahs on the market, and why the B2 Reaper is making strides to become the next big thing in the hookah industry. Without further ado, let's get into it!
The B2 Hookah
The B2 Hookah is a one of a kind work of art - not only is it a gorgeous pipe that borrows from modern designs while maintaining the traditional style, it's functional as well. I've said in blog posts before that once you get past a certain price point, you need to look beyond smoking well, while also expecting a pipe to smoke well. And while the B2 may be a tad on the pricey side, it offers more than most pipes on the market, and can outperform any with ease.
First, the B2 is designed, manufactured, and distributed in the US. Every part of the hookah is done right here in the good old U.S. of A, so you can expect a high level of quality control.
On top of that, the B2 not only features a beautiful design, but it's innovative as well. The design is modular, for starters, which means you can adjust the height of your hookah to your preference. The design of the body also features a patented "heat sink" on the actual body pieces of the hookah itself. These are meant to disperse the heat from your stem, making it cool to the touch throughout your session. Throw in the impressive purge and wide gauge, and you have one of the best hookahs on the market.
Thirdly, it's made from high quality materials - aluminum. Aluminum is great for hookah because it doesn't ghost, it's easy to clean, and it'll never rust. The pipe is a beast as well, due to aluminum being a hefty material, meaning you'll be fine to club someone who says the B2 sucks.
Finally, the B2 also sports a nice wide gauge. Why is that important? Well, in my review on the B2 Hookah, I basically say that when you have a wide gauge, you have the capability to adjust the draw to your preference. Add more water, make it more restricted. Add less water, open it up a bit more. But when you have a pipe that's restricted to begin with, you can't effectively open it up, unless you have no water in your base... which you shouldn't do.
The B2 Reaper
I've only had limited time with my B2 Reaper so far, but I'm happy to report that it sports the same quality as the B2 Hookah, just in a smaller package.
The B2 Reaper is meant to fit on smaller bases, like those that are meant for the Mya line of hookahs. It's a mini hookah, which haven't seen much attention in the American market. It sits at just about a foot tall when on the base.
The Reaper has a different, albeit still amazing, purge that functions exceptionally well. It has an unscrew-able downstem for easy transport and cleaning. It also has a tray that locks into place, so you don't have to worry about it wiggling around on you.
The main concern for most people when buying a mini hookah is getting water in your hose, as the distance from the hose port and the water level is minimal. Luckily, B2 thought of this ahead of time, as the downstem has a built in diffuser to help counteract the water bubbling into your hose. It works pretty flawlessly, and I haven't had any issues with water in my hose yet.
The B2 Hookah has been one of my daily drivers for the past six months, and it will continue to be so. The B2 Reaper is finding its way into my rotation as well, and I'm loving every minute of it. The B2 family is comprised of insane quality, and it's a perfect addition to any collection. The second you hold your B2 in your hand, you'll know what true quality is. Of course, this is all solely opinion based, and not everyone needs a B2. That said, I've yet to be let down with the phenomenal quality that B2 produces, and I know the same can be said for you, should you grab yourself a B2 as well. As always guys, thanks so much for reading, and happy smokes!
